Simon De Senlis is proud to be part of the Northampton Primary Academy Trust and NPAT we want to support our children and families from being drawn into terrorism or supporting terrorism or extremism in any form or guise. As a Trust, there is no place for extremist views of any kind whether from internal sources including pupils, staff or governors or external sources such as the school community, external agencies or individuals. We recognise that extremism and exposure to extremist materials and influences can lead to poor outcomes for children. "PREVENT" refers to a government strategy aimed at preventing radicalization and violent extremism and focuses on protecting children from falling prey to radicalisation or extremism, and forms part of our Safeguarding Children approach.
Our pupils and staff should see our schools as a safe space to explore issues safely and our teachers encourage and facilitate this to happen through their Personal, Social, Health, Education and wider curriculums.
The Trust aims to minimise the risk and prevent them from being drawn in. We ensure that all staff are PREVENT trained and are aware of the signs and indicators of radicalisation and extremist behaviours. We work closely with the police and other agencies where any concerns are raised. For support or advice please contact the NPAT offices on 07741 654181 or via email at
